Stripe and Square use their own secure payment fields. You can design the checkout around those fields, while the provider controls sensitive card entry. Available payment methods depend on your account, country, currency and the released Penni Cart integration.
Match your application, location and environment.
Square checkout requires an application ID and location ID, with server-side account credentials. Sandbox and production are different environments; keep each credential set aligned with the selected mode.
A working test purchase proves the browser form, server processing and order creation are connected. Confirm the live account configuration separately.

This integration handles one-time checkout. It does not promise automatic synchronization with every Square catalog, POS or inventory feature.
Recurring product renewals currently have Stripe and Converge processing paths. Square is a one-time checkout option, not a supported recurring-renewal processor. Confirm saved payment references and a complete renewal test before launching subscriptions.

Can I use Square for recurring product renewals?
Square is not a supported processor in Penni Cart’s recurring-renewal path. Choose a verified supported recurring-payment setup before offering subscriptions.
Will my Square POS catalog automatically sync?
Payment acceptance does not by itself establish POS catalog synchronization. Manage the Penni Cart product workflow and confirm any additional synchronization requirements with the team.
